# Join and sign in

> How people get into Community: Sign in with Geenius OS, or request access and choose a plan once the team approves it. What a promo key does.

Nobody joins without a plan. There are two ways in.

## Sign in with Geenius OS

Community is an app of Geenius OS. Choose **Sign in with Geenius OS**, pick your workspace and allow what is asked. A Geenius OS plan includes the matching Community plan, so you are in at once with no second bill.

## Request access

Without a Geenius OS account, use the request form in the app. The team approves requests, and then you choose a plan on the plan page: checkout, portal and invoices are there. The request form on this website is a preview and does not send anything.

## A promo key

A promo key from us grants a trial of 7, 14 or 30 days. You enter it on the plan page, the card is still collected, and cancelling in the trial means no charge.

## After you are in

You pick your side or sides, a name and a handle on the join screen. See [getting started](/docs/getting-started/).

## Payments

Payments are in test mode during early access, so nothing is charged yet.
